If you've chosen to bypass your Facebook page for a different way to reach your target market, or if you're relocating a new direction with your profession, getting rid of that Facebook page is a fortunately painless process.
How To Cancel A Facebook Page
To erase a Facebook page you have actually created for your business navigate to that page and do the following:
- Click Settings at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to the really last option under General - Remove page - and click Edit.
- Click the connect to erase your page.
- In the popup window that opens click Delete page.
- You should see a message validating that your page has gone into removal mode.
There are a couple of points to remember:
- You have 2 Week to change your mind. If you determine you do not intend to delete your page you could restore it by going to the page prior to both week period finishes as well as clicking Cancel Deletion.
- If you want to offer on your own a break from running a Facebook page but don't intend to delete it completely, you could unpublish it so only admins could see it. You will also not lose your followers if you do this.
How you can unpublish your page without erasing it
If you typically aren't certain whether you want to permanently delete your page, you can "unpublish" it (make it personal so only page admins could see it).
Below's how:
Log in to the Facebook page you administer.
Click "Settings" in the upper righthand corner of your display.
Discover the "page Visibility" setup (it's the 2nd one), and click the pencil symbol to edit.
Click the "Unpublish page" radio button and afterwards click "Save Changes".
